J-Pitch Overview

Japanese producers with projects that have co-production potential are selected and supported by J-Pitch through the arrangement of collaborative meetings, conferences, and other related activities held at contents markets worldwide. J-Pitch also facilitates the development of relationships with international producers as well as providing facilities for networking.

J-Pitch Workshops are held in Japan throughout the year at which participating producers receive guidance from foreign and domestic advisors with specialized knowledge about overseas markets. J-Pitch also holds public seminars for producers which focus on the basics of international co-production and address such topics as legal issues and financing.

J-Pitch will soon launch its own dedicated website, which will provide Japanese Cinema & Audiovisual Industry information to international producers and also serve as a knowledge base for Japanese producers about foreign markets.

J-Pitch Remit

1. To identify and develop film projects that could be completed as international co-productions or which have a high possibility of success in the international market.

2. To foster an exchange of ideas and projects between Japanese producers and their counterparts in other parts of the world.

3. To build relationships with experienced international producers, who could act as consultants for our projects and our program, as well as building links with established producer training programs in other parts of the world.
